The Sustainability School could be particularly beneficial for small and mid-sized organizations, which might not have the resources on their own for an education initiative.

Teaching partners about sustainable IT

Schneider Electric has long been known as the leading IT sustainability company. It’s now calling class to order.

The company’s new “Sustainability School” has opened its virtual doors for solution provider partners in an effort to share with channel partners the wealth of knowledge in this area developed over decades.

Originally conceived for Schneider Electric’s own employees, this free, interactive three-part program is now in session globally. Its goal: to equip businesses and professionals with the knowledge to build or enhance their sustainability practices.

According to data analytics firm Coherent Market Insights, the sustainable IT services market was valued at approximately $12.46 billion in 2021 in the United States and is forecast to reach a value of $34.83 billion by 2030. So, the time to enhance your knowledge could never be better.

The launch of Schneider Electric’s Sustainability School lines up with recent findings by Gartner , which found that almost nine out of 10 business leaders believe their sustainability spending will increase over the next two years. Two out of three of those who answered the survey said sustainability is saving them on energy costs.

The Sustainability School could be particularly beneficial for small and mid-sized organizations, which might not have the resources on their own for an education initiative.

Schneider Electric has broken the curriculum into chapters. Chapter 1, which is now available, is titled “Understanding sustainability and the risks involved.” This chapter is designed to provide knowledge on sustainability basics, jargon and the science involved.

Future chapters will include how to take sustainable action at a company, focusing in small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs), how they architect a decarbonization strategy and “How to leverage sustainable skills to increase business opportunities.”

The school is aligned with the principles of Schneider Electric’s Electricity 4.0, which focuses on the pillars of “Strategize, Digitize and Decarbonize.”

The company’s partners can enroll in Sustainability School through its web page, and solution providers who are not yet partners of Schneider Electric can sign up here.
