In IT, good partnerships can extend the reach of both tech providers and solution providers - and drive continued growth and opportunities. This is no less true in sustainable IT.

Partnerships can be key in Sustainable IT.

Partnerships are still pivotal.

In IT, good partnerships can extend the reach of both tech providers and solution providers - and drive continued growth and opportunities. This is no less true in sustainable IT.

Schneider Electric continues leveraging partnerships with both the channel and other tech companies to make efficiency, sustainability, and growth easier and more durable.

"One of the challengesas we started to dig into sustainability really from this lens of leveraging our partners [...] is to demystify that and give them the visibility into what their environment looks like so they can see their starting point,” Schneider Electric’s Larry Hann, Director of Channel Sales & Digital Services, in the recent podcast, “Partner Perspectives” produced by Cisco Systems.

Network and Sustainability Solutions

Schneider Electric is partnering with Cisco and ePlus, an IT services and consulting business, to deliver network and sustainability solutions to customers.

“We’re coming up with a solution that’s going to be good for our customers together,” Dan Farrell, senior vice president of global services at ePlus, said in the same podcast. The solution marries Cisco’s networking management and Schneider Electric’s power management and data collection tools into a single dashboard.

This unified dashboard combines data from Cisco networking equipment with Schneider Electric’s carbon footprint tracking tools. Customers gain a holistic view of their network's health and environmental impact, empowering them to make informed decisions about energy use and emissions reduction.

“We’re doing this early...single pane of glass, you know, we’ve got to have one set of data,” Farrell said.

Scalability

The Cisco-Schneider-ePlus partnership also focuses on scalability, with an eye toward global expansion. While initially targeting regions with stringent environmental regulations, the partners aim to address worldwide demand for sustainable solutions. This global outlook underscores their shared vision of making sustainability an integral part of business operations everywhere.

Through these partnerships, Schneider Electric exemplifies a customer-centric approach to technology solutions. Sustainability is woven into their offerings, creating customer value while supporting global environmental goals.

And those goals are, for many, difficult to attain in a competitive environment.

“There's a number of companies that are making the commitments as far as what they're going to do for sustainability and how they're going to actually try and get reduced carbon footprint by 50 percent or be carbon neutral. But the reality is, is only 7 percent of (those companies) that are actually attaining those goals that they put in place,” Hann said.

Schneider Electric, Cisco, and ePlus believe their partnership can help them make long strides to closing that gap.
