Gartner's recent “Hype Cycle” report has placed Schneider Electric as a company it is highlighting for its offerings in Data Center Infrastructure Technology

It’s no hype.

Gartner's recent “Hype Cycle” report has placed Schneider Electric as a company it is highlighting for its offerings in Data Center Infrastructure Technology - showing how its investments in current and future growth areas stand out.

The report underscores this point: Sustainability, cloud-based management and a changing data center all play to opportunities for solution providers with Schneider Electric.

Gartner estimates that within four years, 40 percent of data center infrastructure will be managed through the cloud, more than two-thirds of enterprises will change how they handle data and most will implement new sustainability requirements.

This recognition spans across various technology categories, and we believe it reflects our commitment to developing forward-looking solutions that address industry needs,” Schneider Electric’s Chief Marketing Officer Shonodeep Modak wrote in response to the Gartner report.

As a company that has been recognized widely for its leadership in sustainable IT - particularly in the data center - Gartner’s estimates provide one of the strongest arguments yet that Schneider Electric has positioned itself as a company primed to help channel partners grow.

Gartner also estimates that within four years, 40 percent of data center infrastructure will be managed through a cloud-based control panel, and more than 70 percent of enterprises will make changes to how they manage data. Such is the impact of changing strategies for energy use and sustainability.

Led by its flagship EcoStruxure platform, Schneider Electric has built an approach to sustainability and management in the data center that leverages the cloud, AI and a lineup of products built with energy efficiency and ESG strategies in mind.

“The convergence of IT infrastructure, AI, and sustainability presents a complex challenge for organizations. Data centers, the backbone of modern IT, are significant energy consumers,” Allison Matte, Schneider Electric’s head of sustainability, wrote in a recent blog. “Moreover, the rapidly increasing field of AI is further driving up energy demands. This convergence of factors necessitates innovative solutions to minimize environmental impact.”

One approach in the move toward sustainable IT can be found in Data Center Infrastructure Management Solutions (DCIM), Matte says.

DCIM, which is a key part of Schneider Electric’s line card, is part of numerous vertical solutions as both immediate and long-term approaches - as with its education offerings

In all, Gartner highlighted Schneider Electric in its Hype Cycle analysis for numerous areas - including management, hardware and software products and solutions.
